HSE University online courses are available on Coursera since December 23. ‘First Steps in Linear Algebra for Machine Learning’ has become the hundredth course to be offered by HSE University.
Its authors are Vsevolod Chernyshev, Head of the Laboratory of Applied Geometry and Topology at the Faculty of Computer Science, and Dmitry Piontkovski, Professor at the Faculty of Economic Sciences. The course is part of Mathematics for Data Science specialization, which was developed for the Master of Data Science online programme. The specialization also includes ‘Discrete Math and Analyzing Social Graphs’ and ‘Calculus and Optimization for Machine Learning’ courses, which were launched two weeks earlier.
The fourth course of the specialization, Probability Theory, Statistics and Exploratory Data Analysis, is set to open slightly later. Advance registration is open at the moment.
