About the Project

The HSE eLearning Office offers an effective university-level partnership model – network-based educational programmes partly relying on online courses. This approach includes the signing of networking agreements with universities, whereby students from partner institutions can take HSE courses on the NOEP and the HSE’s own eLearning platform "Online Education at HSE". 

Opportunities for Partners

online courses authored by leading HSE instructors may be included in the curriculum;
 high quality of teaching and diversity of programmes even if teaching resources are limited;
 the latest teaching concepts;
 upgrading teacher qualifications.

Opportunities for Students

 a chance to learn from Russia’s top teachers and course textbook authors;
 transfer of credits earned for online courses towards their degree;
acknowledgement in diploma that an HSE course was taken;
 a chance to retake exams if necessary. 

HSE’s Guarantees

all online courses are developed based on Russian Federal Education Standards;
a well-functioning system for inclusion of online courses in partner universities’ programmes and transfer of credits;
regular updates to test materials based on psychometric analysis;
 internal and testing analysis of course content;
identification of students when taking exams (more information about proctoring). 

HSE has been engaged in partnerships based on network agreements since 2015. The pilot project was an agreement with K.G. Razumovsky Moscow State University of Technologies and Management, whereby 80 students took part in 3 HSE online courses.

From 2015 to 2018, around 3,000 students from 24 partner universities have viewed HSE online courses under the network model.
In the new academic year, the HSE eLearning Office is offering 94 online courses, which should attract over 4,000 students.
